A shopping assistant is not just a "web chat." Perselio presented an effective solution based on high-quality data at Ecommerce Bridge LIVE

In February, we attended the Ecommerce Bridge LIVE Slovakia conference in Prešov, which not only attracted a large number of participants but also offered highly topical issues resonating across the e-commerce market. Discussions focused on omnichannel, accounting automation, and how companies are increasing internal efficiency thanks to AI—among other things, in a lecture by Dalibor Cicman (GymBeam).

Perselio was represented at the conference by Lukáš Matějka, who explained in his presentation why many e-shops expect miracles from shopping assistants, but in practice encounter a fundamental problem. The assistant can only work as well as the quality of the data available to it. If product data is inaccurate, parameters inconsistent, and search capabilities weak, chat alone cannot save the situation—on the contrary, it can further expose the chaos in the data.

Lukáš therefore recommended starting with an audit of key products and their parameters. He supplemented his lecture with a specific example from his collaboration with the Sportisimo brand, where he showed how a shopping assistant can naturally follow up on searches and recommendations and become a meaningful part of the shopping journey. The greatest benefit does not come from adding another chat to the website, but from connecting search, recommendations, and product data into a single, comprehensible flow that guides the customer to the right choice.

Thank you for a great event and an inspiring meeting.
